Communism and the Olympics

 What is it about the Olympics and the Olympic committee that seem so attracted to countries that are suffering under despots and dictators that threaten the world?   Have watched about 30 minutes of the Olympics, the opening ceremony should have been enough for any sober eyes to see that evil is lurking and about to spring.   Putin and Xi Jinping appearing together and stating their shared commitments should have triggered warning bells to Western Civilization.  They are counting on indifference.  But as athletes are warned not to use their cell phones, or reporters manhandled to shutdown their live broadcasts from the field.. surely, there must be something going on in the minds of those who are not under the iron fist of communist dictators... something.. that this isn't right?   When the Olympics conclude, I would expect to see Russian action on Ukraine and possibly Poland. China will use that take Taiwan. And from there, the dominos coul...

Freedom Is Still A New Idea

 Inside of two short years of the Pandemic, we have all been reminded as to the delicateness of individual liberties and government policy. In many ways it has been good.  In many ways it has been a warning.  And in many ways, it is cause for concern.   Has today's society forgotten about the foundational values that led to the formation of the United States? Ronald Reagan famously said: "Freedom is never more than one generation of extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same." I do not believe we have done a good job at combating the forces that have gotten in the way of properly handing down the inspirational values of our country.   This blog will seek to correct to that.   #USA
